Wow! What can I say? ‘As You Like It Safaris’ – you guys are amazing!!! My husband and I are both teachers in South Africa so we did not have hundreds of dollars to spend on a Kenyan holiday but we really wanted to visit our north eastern (??) neighbours. A contact in Nairobi put me on to ‘As You Like It Safaris’ and I am forever indebted to him for the recommendation.
I initially contacted Vivien to find out how much a safari in the Mara would cost. I did almost fall off my chair when I read the amount!!! Nonetheless, Vivien and George worked hard with many emails flying back and forth across cyber space until we finally decided on an entire itinerary (not just the Mara) that fell within our budget. That was a near impossible feat so huge thanks to both of you!
I really appreciated the efficiency with which my queries were dealt with – it is not often that you contact a company and they respond within
five to ten minutes. After booking our safari, George was incredibly patient in answering my unending lists of questions about money, places to
eat etc etc etc.
We were warmly greeted upon arrival in Kenya by both George and Kamara. We had an instant connection and it felt like we had known each other
for years. Kamara expertly guided the awesome land cruiser through the chaotic streets of Narobi and dropped us off at our City Centre Hotel. Not
wanting to leave until we were safe and sound.
We had an amazing holiday in Kenya and that is thanks to Vivien, George and Kamara. Although we didn’t get to meet Vivien face to face, we spent
some time with George and lots of time with Kamara. Both such good ambassadors for their country. Kamara, you are incredible. Patient, kind, humble,
knowledgeable and – above all – a safe driver. A very rare find in Kenya! After spending a couple of days in Mombasa, it was wonderful for us to see your
smiling face waiting for us at the Railway Station. It was like coming home again. And man, driving in the land cruiser feels a whole bunch better than driving in a car!
I highly recommend AYLIS to anybody visiting Kenya. We will definitely be making use of their services again!
